Do you have experience in a café, bar or restaurant? Are you great with social media? Do you like board games, amazing coffee, local craft beer and a good book? We want to meet you! Come join our team at the Fox & Fable Book & Game Café - a unique community-oriented convergence of food, retail and fun in Downtown Camrose!

We are looking for a full time awesome person to join our team, approximately 35 hours/week. As we are a small business, you will be involved in all aspects of our operation, from food prep to event planning, social media marketing to making cappuccinos! We offer an engaging, independent working environment, open Tuesday through Saturday, approximately 35 hrs/week (our hours are currently 11:00am-10pm).



  • Must be 15-30 years old (a requirement of the federal Summer Jobs Program);

  • Experience in the coffee, food or beverage service industry;

  • Social media expertise (Facebook, Instagram, etc.);

  • Friendly, outgoing and dedicated to outstanding customer service;

  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends;

  • Must be responsible and able to work independently;

  • Photography and graphics design experience an asset;

  • Marketing / advertising experience (traditional and online) an asset;

  • Knowledge about our retail section (board games & books) an asset;





  • Book & board game retail (in-person and online)

  • Barista coffee & beverage preparation; Alcohol service (if 18+);

  • Basic food preparation & kitchen tasks; Food service, bussing & cleaning tasks.


  • Website and online store design and updating; Social media campaign design and implementation; Photography (products & events) and graphic design.

  • Posters, ads for newspapers, newsletters, brochures;

  • Communication with newspapers, printers, and other partners.



(Due to COVID restrictions, event planning tasks may be limited)

  • Planning and implementing community events such as: open mic nights, trivia nights, family activity days, and live music.

  • Logistics, marketing, hosting and evaluating the events.



  • $15.50/hour

  • Coffee perks and employee retail discounts provided.


Start Date: As soon as possible

End Date: Initial term goes to the end of August, with opportunity to extend into the fall.
